I read Almost Transparent Blue (and maybe others) years ago and unfortunately can't remember anything about it, so I might have to re-evaluate. I own the books you mention, but I've yet to read them. I have, however, seen the film adaptation of Audition. If that's anything to go by then it's not going to be an easy read.
With the harsh mailing protocols we have over here, I’m afraid I can’t send you Miso Soup. Book or both.
Best I can do with mailing is a low resolution printed out picture of fish and chips. Take it or leave it.
I will mail you a copy of Invisible Monsters in exchange for Miso Soup. Book or broth.
Looks like Miso soup is up after I finish Rick Rubins book
My apologies for when you get to THAT scene. You’ll know the one I’m referring to, believe me.
Perhaps this is going to be a surprise, but I’ve never read anything by either of these authors.
Seems I’m missing out.
Definitely! I couldn’t recommend checking out both enough.
I’m adding these to the list

The ending of ‘Audition’ in the book, if you’ll take my word for it, IS worse.
Hopefully the three books I’ve recommended here will leave more of an impact. Given what happens in them, I believe they should.
